After the recent blog on the benefits of juicing, we received many requests for juicing recipes. Below are three of our favorite recipes for you to try this season. Let us know how they work for you and we’ll continue posting new recipes.
For Super Energy:
- 1 Carrot
- ½ medium beetroot with top leaves
- 2 turnip leaves
- 1 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 spinach leaves or 2 cabbage leaves
- 1 medium apple – core out, skin on
- ½ clove garlic or small piece ginger
- 1/3 cup wheat grass (optional) – not all juicers can extract juice from wheat grass
Fight Cold and Flu:
- 2 Lemons
- 1 clove garlic
- 0.2 inch slice fresh ginger root
- 1 apple – core out, skin on
- 1 pear – core out, skin on
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tbsp honey or more, to taste
Support Weight Loss:
- ½ cup alfalfa sprouts
- 1-2 dandelion leaves
- 1 broccoli floret
- 1 spinach leaf
- 1 small carrot
- ¼ cantaloupe
- 1 small piece turnip root
